Bruce Lindgren is the Acting President and CEO of CEID Ltd. He has been involved with the eco-industrial development initiative in the Duluth-Superior region for several years, first presenting the concepts of eco-industrial parks to the Wisconsin Department of Commerce in 2003 or 2004.
Lindgren has been involved in economic devlopment in Bayfield County since 1999, serving on the board of the Bayfield County Economic Development Corporation(BCEDC) since 2000 and was President of BCEDC 2004-2006. Lindgren lectured and designed laboratory instruction in biological sciences from 1966 - 1997. His areas of interest in the biological science were mostly at the cellular and molecular levels including microbial genetics, cytogetics and cell culture. Some Features of CEID that we consider to be important include: CEID helps businesses respond to the growing realities of an economy driven by changes in the availability and use of fossil fuels, alternative energy resources, and growing public demand for reduced greenhouse gas emissions. CEID supports the transformation of industrial development through alternative, distributed energy solutions, high-performance manufacturing facilities, and product stewardship that reduces the cost of raw materials through innovative design. CEID is organized with a small professional staff that mobilizes teams of experts to provide rapid, case-specific response solutions to commercial and industrial problems – solutions that improve the bottom line.
