ADDED 6/9/08: Verification of the registration is needed. I sent a message to Wayne but have not yet received a reply from him. Perhaps Elisa could try registering from her office computer. Or, I may be able to do a registration using Patti's email from our RGG office. DONE. Wayne registered and I received an email with a link that confirmed approval. Wayne received an email notification that he had been approved.

ADDED 6/9/08: I would like to capture the contact information for visitors who download any of the pdf files. This could be a "sign in" with required fields including:
first name
last name
company name
zipcode
email (with verification)

ADDED 6/9/08: A nav bar or menu is needed for the main page. Bruce could do this with Dreamweaver. However, if Jon has something that could be added easily that might be better.

ADDED 6/16/08: The site Ma.Gnolia has a very attractive page format and nav system that is very clean and doesn't appear to be based on Flash. It would be helpful to have an evaluation of this page as a potential for designing our Public Site. The splash page or landing page for a posted link to Ma.Gnolia was a login page that also pointed to a sign up page.

ADDED 6/25/08: The menu (left side) does not contain page links. It seems that this should be automatic when new pages are added. However the menu does include a link to admin when a registered user opens a page. This doesn't seem to have any appropriate function as the page generated on clicking the admin simple addresses that the registered user does not have administrative privilege. DUH!

ADDED 7/1/08: We will need a menu of pages on the main page and menus showing the sub topics on subsidiary pages. The procedure for establishing these menu is to use the mod or mudules. It is not clear from purusing the Tiki site about mods what needs to be done to insert a mod at a particular location within the main (center) section of a page. (inserting a mod in either the left or right columns is described and seems fairly straightforward. However, the generation of the titles for the menu remains murky. Apparently menus must have a menu ID = xx. It is not obvious what is done with these menu IDs.

ADDED 9/9/08:Building a set of instructions for new users fo this Wiki will be a high priority. Our effort, going forward, will be to recruit a cadre of people with sufficient expertise to add content to these pages. Compilation of a list of potential challenges and actual problems will help. This list will provide a significant TO DO.
